Jody Burttram is a co-founder of Harbinger Capital Advisors LLC (HCA Capital), an Orlando, Florida-based capital partner which has placed or invested more than $200 million of debt and equity transactions. Mr. Burttram has more than 30 years of experience in capital markets finance.
Prior to founding Harbinger Capital Advisors in 2005, Mr. Burttram served as Executive Vice President of CNL Capital Corp, where he managed private equity and structured debt related to project development and acquisitions, as well as originating the company’s capital markets commercial paper conduit program. Additionally, Mr. Burttram founded a merchant banking company in partnership with West Merchant Bank, a London-based subsidiary of West LB, where he was responsible for originating and structuring project and trade finance in emerging market countries worldwide.
Mr. Burttram served as a Board Member of the Historical Society of Central Florida. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Orlando, and has been active in supporting the YMCA. Mr. Burttram and his wife, Roslyn, actively support education through scholarships at UCF, Clemson, and UF.
Mr. Burttram earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University. He currently resides in Windermere, Florida, with his wife Roslyn and son Jackson.
